This cruise is an amazing getaway from mainland Mauritius. Cruise for about 2 hours from Grand Baie before reaching Gunner’s Quoin. You will leave the lagoon of Mauritius, to enter the lagoon of the islands of the north. There might be some rough sea along the way, so be sure to take sea sickness tablets if you do get sick. Once you have passed Coin de Mire, the lagoon is simply breathtaking around Ilot Gabriel and ile Plate. Feel like being at the end of the world as the boat anchors in the waters of the islands.

Cruise past Coin de Mire to Ilot Gabriel

The cruise with Windancer to the islands of the north is simply spectacular.

With an early start from the beach of Grand Bay, be the first to sail out of the bay. A simple feeling of greatness as you enjoy breakfast on board while cruising in the open sea past the majestic Coin de Mire, an inaccessible island that rises 10m above the sea level. The sheer cliff is home to a large population of ‘Paille-en-Queue’, the long-tailed tropical bird, also the emblem of our national carrier.

Past Coin de Mire, the catamaran anchors in the turquoise lagoon of Flat island for a visit of the island. One can do some bird watching, walk around for some discovery, snorkel in the great turquoise lagoon of the island or simply relax on the white sandy beaches.

The crew will prepare a delicious BBQ on board with a variety of salads.

After lunch, a boat shuttle will transfer the guests onto Ilot Gabriel for a relaxing afternoon. Late afternoon, sail back leisurely to the jetty.

Children of 1 year of age and younger are complimentary.
If you have limited mobility, you should not take part as the boat is not properly equipped.
Weather and sea conditions determine cruise itinerary.
Transport is not included.
Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the cruise departure time.
