What you need to know?

80m high waterfalls, plunging into a cliff surrounded by thick vegetation, the Chamarel Waterfalls is a wonderful sight and even more impressive after a good summer rainfall. The waterfalls are best seen from the viewpoint on the way to the chamarel seven coloured earth. It is important to note that the only access to the viewpoint of Chamarel falls is through the entrance of Chamarel Coloured earth. The best way to discover the falls is via the Wild South West sightseeing tour, which is also the best selling tour to discover the most picturesque side of the island. A more authentic way is with ebike chamarel discovery or more adventurous is the hiking to the bottom of the waterfalls.

Where and how can I buy the entrance tickets?

Tickets can be bought at the entrance. Payment can be made by cash or credit card.

You ticket allows entrance to see the Chamarel waterfalls as well as the seven coloured earth.

Is there a parking?

Yes there is enough parking at the waterfalls and the seven coloured earth if you are on a self drive. Do not worry! Although these are popular sites, the parking places are big enough.

Is there a restaurant?

There is a little snack restaurant at the seven coloured earth site, serving a cool or hot drink and a few snacks.

If you are looking for a proper restaurant, there are several nice ones in the village of Chamarel, serving local dishes. You can even decide on a local table d’hote or choose a restaurant with a view over the west coast.

What is the best way to get there?

Either self drive or joining a tour. Taking public transport could be highly complicated and time consuming, so we would not advise this option.
